I highly recommend reading “Thanatopsis” by William Cullen Bryant. It’s a short poem with thoughts about death, and it’s pretty amazing. It’s online here.

Every once in a while I laugh out loud when I finish a comic. This is one of those times. I always used to think people were full of shit when they talked about characters “writing their own parts,” but I’ve found that a good character will do just that. Most of the time I just have to get a comic started and they’ll write the punchline for me effortlessly. In this case, I got a fictional talking cartoon dog to do my work for me. That’s way better than a sweatshop!
Ah, feels nice to get a comic up. I still have a lot of work to do to get a book and some merch together, but hopefully it’s not too far off. One thing I did finish in the last couple months is the first EP for a new music project of mine called E8. You can listen here: http://www.e8music.com
This comic marks a full year of regular, twice-weekly updates. I accomplished my goal! More on that in this post: One Year Deep.
